Family Day at Spruce Forest Artisan Village
Saturday, June 9th, 10:00 to 2:00 Cost: Free
Children, families and just plain anyone are invited to enjoy a little bit of history and a lot of fun in this beautiful, rustic setting nestled in the Little Crossings area across from Penn Alps. Village volunteers will offer crafts and activities, a display of Native American artifacts from the region shared by a local archaeologist, music and more. Visitors can stroll through the historic buildings in the Village to learn of their background, and meet with the artisans in their studios.

Village Volunteers needed for Spruce Forest Artisan Village's Family Day & other events
If you'd enjoy spending a few hours in a magical, historic setting surrounded by people having fun, please consider volunteering to help with children's crafts and activities at Family Day at Spruce Forest Artisan Village in Grantsville, MD, Saturday, June 10, from 10:00-2:00 (volunteer time: 9:30-2:30). If you can't help that day, but would like to become involved in Village activities, we'd welcome your interest. Shakespeare in the Park

Outdoor Quick Paint

Come out and watch artists create! Saturday, September 15th join us for our Outdoor Quick Paint. Registration begins at 8am and the event continues to 4:30pm. The event is juried and prizes are awarded.
34th Annual Christmas in the Village
Friday December 7th, 2018 from 4 to 8pm & Saturday December 8th from noon to 8pm.
The 34th Annual Christmas in the Village runs Friday from 4-8pm and Saturday from noon to 8pm. Come enjoy live music in the Village Church, activities in the Village buildings, hot chocolate and cider for visitors, and luminaries throughout the Village and over the Casselman River Bridge. In addition to at the activities in the Village, there are guest artists in the Great Room above Penn Alps. There is a free shuttle bus available for open hours that leaves from the school in Grantsville to the Artisan Village.
Bird Sculpture Raffle
Saturday, December 8th
Gary Yoder will once again offer a bird sculpture for raffle. This year Gary will carve a Blue Bird. Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the season, and the winner will be drawn during Christmas in the Village, Saturday of December 8.

Rotary Sponsored Eater Egg Hunt

NEW QUILLING CLASS

Cost: $45 (1st quilling class); $20 (2nd+ class)
Spruce Forest Artisan Village
New Quilling Class. A quilling class featuring a cardinal on pine branches (4 by 6 wooden frame) will be held on Wednesday, October 7th. The class begins at 10 a.m. at Spruce Forest Artisan Village in Grantsville, md. Fee for the class is $45.00 if this is the first quilling class for you in 2015. If you have already taken a quilling class in 2015 the cost will be $20.00. The class is limited to six peopole and to register call Reita Marks at 724-504-8130. Information and times will be given at this number.
