Mike Edelman is a recent graduate of Frostburg State University . He is already an accomplished blacksmith and metal sculptor. While attending high school in Derwood, Maryland , Mike spent time in between classes working with pliers and wire, crafting works of art. During high school, he created more than 200 works, using various mediums.

While attending Montgomery College Mike's work was featured in The Artists Blacksmith's Association of North America's (ABANA) quarterly magazine, The Anvil's Ring. The photo spread highlighted his work in chainmaille and iron work as functional home furnishings.

Using a traditional medium and modern equipment, Edelman creates contemporary forged artwork. He uses steel copper, brass, and aluminum to create wall pieces, furniture, and pedestal sculpture. His work emphasizes the abstraction of mundane forms, manifesting in soft curves and flowing forms that transcend the natural rigidity of the metal.
